About the author:

My name is Rachel,  and I am the owner and operator behind The Knotty Poplar Fiber Mill and Artistry!  I do a ton of fiber art, and in February of 2025, I opened my small scale fiber mill here in Eagle River, Alaska.  Our goal is to support our amazing farmers in our community through our efforts.  We mill exclusively Alaskan grown wool, and will continue to do so for many years to come.  In April of 2025 I became a Certified Scour Master through Camaj Fiber Art and have been utilizing my education to aid my community since.  Thank you for reading this and taking an interest in fiber art!  We are thrilled to grow as a community.
